GALENTINE’S DAY + A FEW FAVORITE THINGS!

I love my girls! Hahah, have you HEARD that enough around here this week. 😉 Just have to say it one more time regarding my girlfriends. I am so grateful to have so many in SD – there is an entire group of women that I love so much in addition to these ladies below. I straddle two groups of women/friends here because of my girls. Olivia and Claire are friends with my “old friends” kids (I call them “old” jokingly and so affectionately – they’re all just 8+ years older than me and most of them have older kids, too), and Emmy and Chloe line up with the kids of these ladies below. I ride a teether-totter, dipping into time with one group and then the other, and I’m so grateful for that. I’ve learned so much from all of my friends and I love them so!

We had a Galentine’s Party last night and it was so, so what I needed. My social tank has been running on empty recently, so a few hours of talkingtalkingtalking with these girls filled it to the brim. And sharing/exchanging some favorite things! Does it get much better than a “Favorite Things” party? You walk away with sooo many good, tried-and-true recs and some gifts. Win-win. I came home with theee prettiest lipstick, “It’s A 10” hair miracle worker (which I’ve been meaning to get for a year since one of my law school girlfriends recommended to me – so stoked I got to snag it!), and the yummiest herbal tea from TJ’s with tcis darling Anthro mug…

I took a few of my favorite, Trader Joe’s regulars as part of my gift — the best dark chocolate baton (it’s full of freeze-dried raspberries, and the size of the baton is just right. I get one every time I grocery shop!), the yummiest air freshener (I also love that its footprint is small; it’s not a giant bottle sitting in my bathroom), and Dr. Bronner’s peppermint bar soap (ohh my goodness, this stuff works. It is the yummiest smelling stench slayer – definitely my favorite soap). My gifts were semi practical, but I had to include them – they really are some of my favorite things! I also had to toss in a favorite lipstick: “Born With It” from Maybelline. I really like Maybelline lipstick – they’re solid and they sit at such a great price. The shade I gifted last night is a great neutral. It brings out your natural lip color and feels like a moisturizing chapstick, so it’s just a winner. Definitely one of my favorite things.

The night was the perfect kick-off to a Valentine’s weekend. Sooo much to love – girls and gifts!
