November! Where’d you go?! I cannot believe that nearly three weeks have passed since Halloween and that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. 2019 may go down in the books as the fastest year yet, yes? I’ll be sad to see this year go, to be honest. It has had a few moments that I am more than happy to lock away in the vaults and never re-visit again, but gosh on a whole, this has been a wonderful year. And, yes, a FAST year. I’m relieved that I found a bit of time tonight to get a few snippets of November in the books before she’s out the door altogether. Just like this year, November threw me a couple curves (right at the beginning of the month) but overall, she has been lovely…

From top to bottom, left to right…
1 | A cute California car, spotted a few yards down the street from the girls’ doctor’s office. A little random, yes? Yes. 🙂 I love this town.
2 | One of a couple novel designs I came up with for Stack Real Estate. I got to design their company swag. Super fun project.
3 | CA girls doing winter: puffer vests, coats, and ever still, sandals (true story: I didn’t put on closed-toe shoes the entire first year we lived here, just because I didn’t have to. I wore sandals that entire year, just because I could).
4 | On set! Love this capture my friend got of our somewhat makeshift studio in the middle of our other friend’s kitchen — hustling and still saturated by real life. EX, Chloe Babe is literally clinging to me (zoom in and you’ll see that her little paw on my shoulder). She got really mad that I was still taking pictures of cookies and not snuggling her after a while on that day, but my friend realized that if she held Chloe right next to me – close enough for Chloe to touch – that baby girl was okay. If you ask me why I’m so self-assured these days, I’ll point right to that baby and her obsession with me. Just FYI.
5 | Cookies, shot during said shoot above. This sweet biz (my friend, Meghann’s!) is launching soon and I got to take her scrumptious product photos. Her cookies are un-real (literally drooling at the thought alone of them). Cannot wait for the world to enjoy them!
6 | You and me, baby, we’re stuck like glue, part 2.
7 | Girl gang! Emmy Girl is on her Minnie Mouse phone, snapping a pic of me.
8 | My oldest, my youngest. Olivia fills her Chloe bucket to overflowing during the weekends. Bless her, it isn’t always easy to be the oldest girl that’s off taking on the world. We love when our sis is home!
9 | From a date last night with my Ryan (our second this month after not going out for FIVE months)!! There are lights on the San Diego palms! It’s Christmastime in the city. <3
A few more un-photographed, fun November things…
My best girl from law school, Elizabeth, launched her calendar company on Kickstarter last week! Elizabeth dreamed up a beautiful, daily tearaway calendar for the Book of Mormon in an effort to easily and consistently feed the soul, and I love how the product has come together for her. I actually branded Quotidian last November-December, so seeing it come to fruition is super exciting. Check out Quotidian’s campaign HERE and go back it!
Another fun product emerged from my creative studio a couple weeks ago — check out Heather Fillmore Coaching! Heather is Ryan’s aunt, so I was obviously stoked to help when she reached out about putting together a couple new logos for her. After evaluating her current site, it was clear she needed a solid typography set, as well a new logo, plus good direction for her as she makes her own graphics. We had her website revamped and her branding suite put together for her in a few days. I love working with my branding and consulting clients.
My photography gallery is updated with a few new beach shoots in the last month! Photographing families this fall has been super fun for me. I love chatting and laughing and complimenting everyone up and down (but really — the words of affirmation side of me gets super stoked while shooting), and then ultimately delivering some pretty, big, bright photos. I have two more shoots coming down the pipe before the year ends. Can’t wait to circle back here and share when they’re done!
