THIS IS HALLOWEEN 2019!

Totally making the claim that Halloween 2019 was our BEST one yet. I think I found the magic ticket of Halloween for me this year — decorate one week before the big night, throw a super fun dinner, and then leeean into all of the costuming and all the candy and all the crazy. YOLO, right? Best to just unbuckle and enjoy the ride…

 

We are the gardeners (Chip and Jo!) and this is our flower child. 🙂 I knew that Chloe would be hanging in the wrap with me during our church Halloween party, and since our wrap is pink, turning her into a flower first came to mind. Well what’s a flower without a gardener, if not THE gardeners of 2k19??

The GHOUL GANG. The girls’ costume request for Halloween night this year was to be ghosts. “And not cute ghosts, Mom,” Olivia said. “SCARY ghosts.” I don’t love scary (and honestly, she doesn’t either, haha), so we compromised by putting them in glittery capes and giving them some awesome black eyes. And yes, Emmy’s face WAS totally white and her eyes WERE totally black — Sis took her makeup into her own hands while I was nursing Chloe, just after I finished getting her all ready — she decided she needed some lipstick. Just a little bit mom (read: enough to cover her whole face and half of her white shirt. Look closely…ahhh well!)

And then we took off for trick-or-treating through the hood. Halloween is a blast. KIDS make it so, if you ask me. Love these girls and the straight-up magic they give my life.
