MEET VIRGINIA (CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA)!

Early early in the morning, just a day after our California trip finished, Ryan and I hopped on a plane for Virginia. He and I were lucky lucky kids to be able to scope the the law school at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, because there’s a high chance we’re making that town our home for the next three years. Like a high chance. The law school is top-notch and beautiful (big plus!), the city was fun, the food was so good and cheap (awesome), the people were the best. Our dear friends were the kindest, most generous hosts and guides. All went so well!

Just a smidgen of the law school, mostly the grounds. Virginia is made of brick. At least Charlottesville and UVa are. And all that red is just lovely against the green…

Jefferson founded UVa. Designed it, even. “The Lawn” – the original campus that Jefferson actually developed – was a bright spot on the main campus grounds. So Colonial and quaint, with red red bricks and white colonnandes. It was pretty…

I never saw green like that before, man. And you kind of have to see it to believe how green and tree-ish and rolling Virginia is. The whole East Coast is just gorgeous. No mountains, but all that green!

Downtown Charlottesville! We spent three hours down there at “The Mall,” restaurant hopping because Charlottesville’s food scene rocks, soaking up humid air, and talking about what life would be like in Cville. Christian’s Pizza and Citizen Burger we were worthy of pics – yes, we ate them back-to-back because that’s what a vacation is for, right?? Eating too much and loving your life? 😉 We had such a blast. Thanks for treating us right, VA.
