Olivia has been all sorts of loving lately, and tonight she
was no exception.
We were reading her big squishy book when she – 100% unprovoked – put her arm up on my shoulder and smooshed herself into me.
Luckily Ryan seized the Kodak moment, and as I kept reading Olivia kept loving.
She snuggled closer.
She chewed on me.
And all the while she kept her arm in that perfect spot, right near mine.
Moments like this melt me. Literally. My heart warmed up when
she put her hand on my shoulder, and if I would have been in that mood, tears would have silently dropped.
Mothering may have its demands, but its sweet, sweet rewards are brimming.
The best one of all is her love.
