RIDING THE ‘COASTER.

Photo: from a few weeks ago. Actually, it’s from almost one
month ago. That was our pattern-making week for Playground – one that was
enlightening, to say the least. I had never made gigantic patterns before, so I
was grateful for Mare’s skills (there isn’t anything she can’t do) and Ryan’s endless
help, too. I’m still feeling grateful that I have that partner and that husband
of mine, because Playground is picking up and up (woo!) and juggling the balls
of moving, our business, helping Olivia thrive, growing new baby girl, etc etc
etc, would not be happening without them.

I have to tell you, life is a crazy adventure and sometimes
I don’t like it so much. Last week I
didn’t really like it. I felt overwhelmed and scared and like I was riding a
rollercoaster on repeat. And rollercoasters can be fun, but ups and downs over
and over and over again get old. This week, though, I already feel like we’re
coasting (which is funny because it has potential to be even crazier than last).

…so the good life must just come in the eye of the beholder,
right? I mean, my Sunday was focused on choosing to have a better attitude this
week, and I’ve already felt those good vibes definitely roll on to today. This
scripture has been running through my head and it’s done wonders: “Lift up your hearts and be glad, for I
am in your midst, and am your advocate with the Father; and it is his good will
to give you the kingdom.”

Yep, we’re halfway through this Monday and I’ve felt
not-so-weak and much more strong.

Hoo-ray.
