FRIENDS. We are one more week down! One more week through quarantine, and heavens, I’m grateful for that. This week went faster than last week for me, which was so welcomed. I miss constant interaction with people, like when we go to church, even though our at-home church services have been nothing short of divine (I really mean that). For Ryan and me, having to step up as a couple and foster a spiritual day for our girls has been an awesome opportunity. For our whole family, feeling so close to each other’s hearts as we share our testimonies and spiritual feelings via our Sunday lessons has been a gift. I love that our church congregation is making an effort to stay connected spiritually, too. Especially my church’s women’s group, AKA the Relief Society. My Relief Society president asked those of us who serve as Relief Society teachers to record and share our assigned lessons – to take RS to the web – so that we can keep feasting spiritually together. Admittedly, recording my lesson was tough, haha. I tried to get myself and my house together on Friday in order to do so, like I cleaned everything and was waiting for the house to calm down/for Ryan to stop working so that he could take the girls for a second, but the moment never came. So yesterday morning – bright eyed and bushy tailed and without makeup and with my hair all awry – I recorded my lesson via my car right before I headed out on my morning trail run. It wasn’t the classiest scene but it was the quietest one for me right now, and well, we’re all just doing the best we can these days, aren’t we? 🙂 Click HERE to watch/listen in on my lesson, if you’re looking to fuel your spirit a little on this Sabbath Day and to feel connected to the worldwide sisterhood that is the Relief Society. Treat it like a podcast — turn it on and keep going about your day. Or, if you happen to have more space for down-time in your life (can’t wait for the day when that’ll be me, ha!), pull up a chair with a cozy blanket and welcome, my sister (wherever you are!) on this glorious Sunday to Relief Society. 🙂

PS, the General Conference address that I was assigned to study and share for my lesson was “Your Grand Adventure” by Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf. Please please listen to his full remarks. He is poetic in the way he teaches, and he is relatable as an apostle. I have been so grateful for the way his testimony has helped guide my life, including through his talk above.
PPS, the pics below? Via the tulips from my table. Talk about breathtakers. Feel free to save any shot you like, my friends. Just pretend I’m personally passing them on to you, because you know that if I could, oh how I would.
