WOMEN’S GIFT GUIDE 2019

I said at the end of my Little-Big Girl Gift Guide that I’d be back here with my Toddler Girl Gift Guide, but as I sat down to blog tonight, I couldn’t pry away from the WOMEN’S gift guide that I’ve also had in the works this week! I was able to make a solid list of things I have loved from 2019 (and beyond) while I was making up my girls’ guide, so I thought I’d compile my recs for all you husbands out there. 😉 But really, they’re tried-and-true gifts that won’t let you down, mama! Take a look!

1. LEGGINGS // Alright, these leggings are 1 of my top 3 must-haves for this year. They are stellar. My friend, Erica, shared them on IG, saying that she liked them more than the infamous Lululemon leggings (a big claim), so per her opinion I ordered the navy pair. I have one pair of Lulu’s (gifted from a friend, and yes, she is the most generous friend), and I really like the them but they’re $$$. Well these $25 leggings are clutch. They’re totally on par with LuLu’s! They’re super stretchy, super soft, the waist band doesn’t fall down during the day/your tummy stays tucked in nice and tight, and they’re cute. I workout in them, and when it’s chilly, I pair them with a chunky sweatshirt and wear them “for real.” Get a pair or else!!

2. SUNGLASSES // I am so not with-it enough to take care of expensive sunglasses, so when I needed to find easy-to-replace sunglasses this summer, this pair hit the spot. They’re cute, and I love the price point. I won’t feel guilty when I need to order another pair of these in a few months because of the scratches they will inevitably accumulate. Although these sunglasses have held up super well so far —  I actually don’t have a single scratch on them yet (knock on wood)!

3. LIPSTICK // If you’re a lipstick person, and you like a lipstick that adds color and moisturizes, this Maybelline lipstick is for you.  I’ve really liked it. I have it in “Undressed Pink,” which is a perfect semi-neutral shade, since it adds a just a hint of pretty color.

4. PERSONAL MICRODERM // I have to be honest with you here — this PMD Microderm duo is a MAJOR splurge — but gosh the tools are tried and true. I bought the personal microderm and cleansing tool via Mint Arrow’s PMD 50% off deal over Black Friday last year as my 2018 Christmas + 2019 Mother’s Day +  2019 birthday gifts (please tell me I’m not alone in bundling up all your gifts for the year via one pricey present, haha).  Mint Arrow runs the same PMD deal during Mother’s Day – read her blog post for all the info about the PMD tools – so you can also snag these at steep discount next May. Aaaaanyway, I’ve been all about loving my getting-older skin this year, and I’m stoked to report that after using the PMD goods for a year, my skin isn’t as dry (I feel like moisturizers work better since the skin cells are new after I use the tools), my skin tone is definitely more even, and my wrinkles are at half-strength/appearance (that’s so major)! I invested in the tools for those reasons, so I’m a happy girl. If you feel like you want to heal or maintain your skin for both the present and the long run, try out PMD. And definitely get them with discount codes over Black Friday (Mint Arrow’s 50% off code is pretty bomb).

5. OIL-BASED FACE CLEANSER // I’ve shared Julep’s oil cleanser on Instagram a few times, and a few of you have said that you got some, too (!!), but I’ve never actually delivered y’all a link to find it, so finally! HERE YA GO: the best, yummiest, makeup-removing, cleansing oil. I usually get mine on Amazon, but I guess it’s currently unavailable there?? Go put it in your Amazon cart for future reference when it’s back in stock, and grab it via Target till then!

6. CHARCOAL FACE MASK // Another awesome skin care product (I tell you, I’ve been on a mission to help my skin!), this charcoal face mask is via Beauty Counter. I’ve loved it. I bought it via my friend, Kristy, last Christmas during Black Friday and I don’t think I’m even half-way through the bottle. A little goes a long way for overall treatment, and it’s super effective at smoothing your skin and as spot-treating zits. I saw Kristy post on IG tonight, actually, that Beauty Counter is starting their Black Friday sale early (yayyy)! I’m glad I saved on cost last year by grabbing it on sale.

7. FINE HAIR RAZORS // These little razors are the perfect stocking stuffers! My friend, Jess, told me about them for shaving that “super cute,” facial peach fuzz (yes, I have it, you have it, we all have it), and they’re actually super stellar at getting the job done! They’re as cheap as can be and they last a long time. I use them on my eyebrows, too. I actually rarely tweeze my brows anymore; I just sculpt them with these guys.

8. A GOOD BOOK // My mother-in-law gave me “The Read-Aloud Family”  for my birthday in 2018, but I finally got around to reading it this year, and I shouldn’t have put this read off for so long — it’s a solid read! It’s educational and entertaining. The author writes really well, and she leaves you convinced that reading aloud to your children will solve all of their problems and make them wildly successful human beings. 😀 But really, the science and anecdotes she shares behind reading aloud is awesome. It totally motivated me to start reading chapter books aloud with the girls this year, which we have loved doing.

9. EYELASH SERUM // Babe Lash works!! That’s all I have to say. 😉 I bought my first bottle two years ago after my eyelashes were suffering from postpartum hair loss after Emmy – I had chunks of eyelashes lost in that war – and this serum helped my lashes grow back and grow back well. I actually started to back off of using it because my lashes were getting too long. One bottle lasts me a whole year; I apply the serum once a day, once a week. It’s good stuff!

10. HIGH-POWERED BLENDER // The Vitamix is 2/3 of my must-have products from the last year. Actually, from the last two years. Buying a refurbished Vitamix over Black Friday was the first big purchase we made after Ryan started working in 2017. Going the refurbished/renewed route saved us a ton of money, and we have had total success with the refurbished version. I love the Vitamix because it just knocks out fruits and vegetables, making them so easy to prepare and eat. Our smoothies are silky, I make legit vegetable juices thanks to the Vitamix, I make our almond milk — no lie, I owe a good chunk of our family’s health to the Vitamix. I LOVE MY VITAMIX. I use mine daily.

11. CORDLESS VACUUM // My 3/3 product of 2019: Dyson’s cordless vacuum. This number has literally been an extension of my arm for the last year.  The girls aren’t super clued-in to keeping the floors clean (they’re young!), so I’m constantly vacuuming. But guys! The Dyson makes that okay!! Messes that need vacuuming hardly phase me anymore, since the Dyson makes it so easy to clean them up. Basically, this vacuum has made me a nicer mom. 🙂 And it does a solid job. Buying a refurbished version over Black Friday will save you lots of money on this one, too. I LOVE THE DYSON. I use mine daily!

Okay go get these goods in your carts in prep for the sales next weekend! I’m certain Black Friday will pull through with stellar discounts. I mean those razors — crossing my fingers they’ll be discounted from $5 to $2.50?? 😉 😉

xoxo, friends! Stay tuned for ONE more guide tomorrow — for your man!
