Alright friends, here they are! My tried-and-true recs for 2020. I shared my favorite products of 2019 this time last year in a gift guide, and I had conversations about those numbers throughout the entire year, so here we go again — another round of good stuff that I have personally used and been super happy with. If you’re shopping for your mom, sister, friend (or let’s be real, yourself!), you won’t go wrong with any of these fun things. Take a look!

SKIRT // I picked up my favorite clothing item of the year last year at Lululemon on Black Friday, and I’m dying that Lulu isn’t making the exact one I got so that I can share that image with you, but that skirt above is super similar to the one I have. The material is the same, it also has great pockets (they’re deep without being bulky), and the overall vibe is the same – it looks classy, but it’s also casual and comfy – it makes me want to add it to my collection this year! You can’t go wrong with a skirt that acts like a good pair of jeans: it goes with everything, dresses up or down, and makes you feel like a million bucks.
LIPSTICK // I’ll probably share good Maybelline lipsticks till the day I die because I really love them — they’re smooth, long-lasting, and affordable. This particular shade stole my lipstick show in 2020, AKA I wore it about every day. 🙂 Snag this for your stocking! Your lips/face will thank you!
HAIR ACCESSORIES // I bought leopard for the first time in my life this year, and I first pulled the trigger on this perfect, knotted leopard headband from J.Crew. I have loved it! It has saved me on many bad hair days (ha!), it’s SUPER comfy, and it’s been so versatile (leopard is a natural, right??). I ended up going back to J.Crew to get that darling knotted hair tie after I wore the headband so much. It’s been a perfect staple, too!
CURLING IRON // Still talking hair for a sec — this curling iron!! It completely changed my hair-curling game. I read amazing reviews about it after seeing it on Target’s website for 50% off, so I decided to give it a shot and my goodness, it’ll take some convincing for me to ever use a different curling iron. It dubs as a curling wand, and for whatever reason, it really does create the perfect bouncy-yet-beachy curl. Crossing my fingers for you that Target will have it majorly discounted again this weekend!
EARRINGS // Okay the photo of those diamond bar studs in my guide are from Tiffany and Co., which are NOT my tried-and-true pair, but mine look almost identical. I’d share my actual earrings with you, obviously, but I can’t (cue a few tears)!! Here’s the story: my friend has the Tiffany studs and every time she wore them, I totally drooled over them. Minimal and beautiful, I loved them. Well intro the coolest small business, Post Accessories — she carried a diamond stud earring in one of her collections that looked JUST like the Tiffany’s studs and I snagged them! And I’ve worn them every single week since, which is why I had to share them in my guide this year (“tried-and-true,” baby!) but I also wanted to share Post. The girl running the business is rad, and her earrings are so much fun. You could get any pair off of her site this year and be set. I love Post!
BLUE LIGHT GLASSES // Have you jumped on the blue-light-glasses train after all the screen time that 2020 has asked of us?? I totally have. I bought my first pair off Amazon but I lost them in our move, and when I was getting those leopard hair accessories above on J.Crew, I came across these blue light glasses for the same price as my Amazon version, so I grabbed them. And they are darling! And high-quality. I’ve been impressed and my eyes have been at ease. Win-win.
EYELASH SERUM // Remember how I shared Babelash in my gift guide last year? Well I found a way cheaper, way healthier version this year — this organic castor oil! I was honestly a little nervous to try it, but it has been a bomb product. My eyelashes have grown so well, and the best part?? Their length doesn’t shrink back to “short” if I don’t use the castor oil consistently (not the story with Babelash)! In fact I have only applied the castor oil monthly all year, and yet my lashes are longer and thicker than they’ve ever been. For all of you short-lash girls out there, this clean, effective serum is for you.
MASSAGE PILLOW // Saving the best for last — this massage pillow! It has been my lifesaver/best friend this year. But really. The year has been intense, and this little number has helped ease the physical tension so much that has accompanied all things 2020. I sit on it for bum massages, lay on it for back massages, stand on it for foot massages — it does it all. Ryan and I joke that it saved our marriage because I stopped asking for massages after I got this, haha. It is a KEEPER.
Aaaand that’s a wrap! Happy Christmas shopping, friends! I hope these recs help you find a gift that you or someone you love can really enjoy. And aren’t you just ready to get everything wrapped up this weekend (literally!) and then call the shopping GOOD? I am. I’m so ready! So ready to sit back and soak up this Christmas season…it already feels like a really happy, unexpected exclamation point to what has been a rollercoaster year. I’m already so grateful.
It’s the most wonderful tiiiime of the year! 🙂
