THE PREMIER GIRLS GETAWAY!

Olivia and I skipped away to Sundance on Saturday to be with
the girls only in our family – including our mother. A getaway! The first of many, we hope (!!)The General Women’s Meeting was on Saturday night and it was phenomenal. I didn’t note so much of what was said but I couldn’t
shake how I felt throughout the whole thing. So united with good women
and so strong, we sang “I Am a Child of God,” and I felt my heart swell (have you ever felt that?). My
belief in that fact grew, not just about myself but also about all other women! Feelings like that are fleeting but totally unforgettable.

Photo: from brunch at the Foundry Grill that day. I could’ve
snapped photos of our midnight nail party, the delicious cookies made by Elise,
and the beauty all around outside during our walk, but – have you seen The Secret Life of Walter Mitty? Remember the line dropped by Sean O’ Connell, the
photographer guy? He’d been waiting for that perfect photograph, and when the moment
came, he passed it up. Walter asked him why and he said, “If I like a moment,
for me, personally, I don’t like to have the distraction of the camera. I just want
to stay in it.” I applied that genius this weekend because isn’t it true? Sometimes
staying in the moment wins 🙂
