Oh hiii! ๐Ÿ‘‹

How has one month comes and gone since I've been here? Our April - May has been busy and simultaneously snail slow. The first two weeks of the last four were all about my little sister's wedding, some fun stuff around here, and my birthday; the last two weeks found us face-planted after all that fun, soo so sick (you can't know the bitter without the sweet, right?)! I really do want to catch up on everything for the books' sake, but for now I've got to share one of the fun parts of the last month -- an interview I was lucky enough to do with the newest podcast on the block, "Thriving in Motherhood!"

My inspired friend, Jess, produces "Thriving in Motherhood" and I say "inspired" literally. She is filling a market need by reminding women that motherhood gives you the strongest wings to fly -- if you know me at all then you know how strongly I believe that. I'm the first to say that certain, exceptional doors open up to you because you're a full-time mother, and I'll stand by that forever because of my personal experiences, and because our culture falsely projects the opposite opinion on the job.

Women have to be reminded of that.

Full-time motherhood drains you. You're drained of physical energy because you work all day and all night. Your personality is drained because you're so determined to help your children max out their personalities and reach their potential, not your own. Your work is repetitive, and it is as unthanked and as much as it is unseen, which is most of the time. All of this (and more) adds up, and it can make you feel like you're doing anything but thriving in motherhood.

Cue Jess' podcast.

Personally, I'm grateful for it. It has reminded me that so many women are working and feeling just like me -- they're serious about mothering, exhausted from mothering, and simultaneously soaring through the amazing doors that mothering opens. Give an ear to Jess' episodes. Thriving in motherhood is not just possible, it is what happens!

Listen to my interview HERE, see the podcast website HERE, and visit Jess' personal blog HERE, too. She is a phenomenal mother, an industrial designer, and a super consistent blogger (I need to get on the Jess train ๐Ÿ˜‚). We studied abroad together in Jerusalem, so I really do know how awesome this woman is!

Happy Friday, friends. ๐Ÿ’› We are soo close to being healthy and well again around here, so I will circle back here soooon!

PS, just for kicks (if you're really in the Podcastin' mood!), the link to my podcast interview from last summer about goals, joy, and more is HERE!

Also, MY THREE GIRLS (some pics from life lately)...

A lil AM reading ๐Ÿ“š
