SWEET IS THE WORD! A FEW WAYS TO WORSHIP HEAVENLY FATHER, VIA THE EXAMPLE OF JESUS CHRIST

Monday, December 5, 2016
Pic via: the front seat of my car. I didn't study before having to leave the house least week to get Olivia to school, so I brought the good word + my study journal along with me, knowing that I could chill in the car for just a few minutes after the drop-off and study then. Clearly I was a lil desperate to get connected with heaven ASAP that day. :)
Entry from Sunday, December 4
*This study started with the scriptures provided in the #LIGHTtheWORLD calendar HERE. From there, I found a couple more verses about how Christ similarly worshipped. I love His example in each account!

"These words spake Jesus and He lifted his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come: glorify Thy Son that Thy Son also may glorify Thee;
"As thou hast given him power...that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him."

He looked up and prayed, and He prayed for Heavenly Father to be glorified, acknowledging what His Father had given Him, too. That is true worship.

"And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that though has heard me.
"And I know that thou hearest always."

He look up and prayed again, and He said a prayer of thanks. He also bore His testimony of His Father's awareness of Him. That is true worship.

"He took five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed and brake..."

He prayed to Heavenly Father again and then He served. That is true worship.

Acknowledging God, thanking Him (again and again!), bearing His testimony, and serving -- I am so grateful for Christ's examples here of how to worship the Father. I want to better do the same!
