Pic via: tonight on the couch with side-kick Claire and my Tiny. :) I work really hard to make my scripture study happen as soon as I can every morning - half of the week I'm on my own before the girls wake up; the other half I'm with them over breakfast. But life gets real, doesn't it - routines don't always work - so an evening study it was today!
Entry from Saturday, October 4
Moroni 7:47-48
"But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.
"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love..."

I will! Because I know that the feelings we project to others outside of our home and then feelings we have within our home trickle down from how we feel Christ's love - and mostly for myself. When I reach out to feel His love for me, I can turn and love Ryan, then the girls, and then our little team can go out all charged and love our neighbors and friends.

So I'll start at the root this week - praying for Christ's charity - for myself, and then for others. I'm certain that feeling and living by that pure love will come!

  1. What a great prayer! :-) I love reading these posts every Sunday. A little off-topic - I just got a new set of Scriptures and would love to know what kind of color-coding system you use.:-)

    1. Oooh a fresh set! I'm almost due for one, which makes me so sad (I've had my set since I was 8!) and super happy, since you can't beat a clean slate. Given that 8-years-old fact, however, my set was just highlighted highlighted and highlighted for a lot of years there (definitely didn't foliow a system), so I actually don't highlight my scriptures now. I just popped "color coding scriptures lds" into Pinterest, though, and these results came up - maybe something can help you there?

LOVE that you asked, though. Please don't hesitate to comment anytime about anything! XOX

  2. Charity seems to be a theme for me as well. I study from several different resources each day and each of them has been coming up with charity in some form over the past week. It's interesting how that happens.

    1. That IS interesting...hmm taking note. :) What other sources do you study from? What a great idea. Thanks for your comment + inspiration, Carmen. Have a good week! XOX
