Pic via: Torrey Pines Beach (of course!) - I studied there yesterday morning after another run up and down the mountain. I didn't venture onto the sand this time, since that nice rock ledge was jutting out just in front of my car, and I wasn't feeling the hike down the those rocks to the water. Plus the rock reminded me of the lava back home. I thought it was lovely. :)
Entry from Sunday, July 10 (today!)
2 Corinthians 12:9
"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

I remember reading this verse years ago - and then not marking it and "losing" it. But I've thought about it since so many times, and I needed it desperately again today (so thank you, Heavenly Father, for hearing my prayer of finding hope in Thy words this morning).

I feel incredibly less bogged down by my problems, weaknesses, and struggles after reading this. Oh, I have problems? Phew. That's just what Christ is looking for. He needs the weak and the struggling to use His strength to heal and improve -- that's where the return on His immense, immeasurable sacrifice comes through. He is literally glorified in our pleas for Him to help us, to hold us, to heal us.

I don't need to shoulder the hurt alone. I don't need to think that I can't change. I don't need to be stuck in any kind of rut.

His strength is glorified - made perfect - in my weakness.
