You know, brethren, that a very large ship is benefitted very much by a very small helm in the time of a storm by being kept workways with the wind and the waves.

Therefore let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God and for His arm to be revealed. | D&C 123:16-17

I made it inside the San Diego temple last night (meant what I said and said what I meant)! Those verses above popped up in my scripture study about an hour ago this AM, but they encapsulate what I felt there yesterday evening: at some special point in your life, if you've REALLY, genuinely, hopefully - and maybe even desperately - been standing still for His arm to be revealed in , He will be revealed. You'll know that He's not just God, He is Father. You'll know He's not up there just doing His thing while you're down here (trying?) to do yours. You'll know that He doesn't see you as one of his 10 trillion children that's just alive and kicking...

You will know that He adores you. You're wrapped around His finger + simultaneously cradled in the palm of His Almighty hand. He cares about the trips, scrapes, the punches, the blows. He is elated at your joy! He watches your life. He loves you. You'll KNOW that in the simplest, tiniest moments. That knowledge, for me, is the small helm that keeps my ship afloat during wobbles and waves. Truly, above all, it comforts and consoles the most. But thinking about the fact alone doesn't do much for me. I have to feel it. Then I know.

But it can be so hard to feel, right? There's such a thick fog of ideas and emotions out there every single day...I really have to dig up the Divine in it all. But when I dig, I discover. When I seek His love and His confirmation that I'm something to Him, His love really is there. Confirmation actually comes.

Till you feel that for yourself, take my word for it here, because you need to know: He loves you. Now and forever!

Amen + over and out. I know He lives!

  1. You need to write a book. Seriously - you have such a gift with words! I love reading your posts and soaking up all the joy you share!

    1. Thank you, sweet April. :) Writing a real, good book is definitely part of my wildest dreams (can't lie)! Who knows when that could ever happen, but hopefully (maybe??) one day? Love you!!
