Summer's been dropping some thunderstorms on its way out. We're loving those big, wet booms. Olivia's fascinated by the water and the wind, and I'm taken with how calming rain can be. Yes with the first week of school bygone and a watered-down earth, I can almost breathe again.

I'll breathe deeply when the LSAT is over (come come, October!). No, when the law school applications are in. Umm,  how about when we're accepted somewhere? That'll be the day.

Focusing on the present can be hard for me. Have I mentioned that? Actually, a graphologist once substituted my high school english class, and after looking at my handwriting she determined, "Darling. You are living in the future. Think about today. Please?"

Her words plastered my mind like heavy, statement wallpaper that is not to be forgotten. They were so true! I think about tomorrow as if it's happening right now, and I have to be prepared for it all.  The more I dwell on "it," the better I'll face it - whatever it actually is or whenever it happens...

Right? :)

"The trick is to enjoy life. Don't wish away your days, waiting for better ones ahead." - Marjorie Hinckley. Of course.

Yes Marj is doubly right (that woman is my hero). Be present and pleased. That's the trick.
